
ABOUT
Victoria grew up in the London Borough of Bromley and was a member of the BYMT Concert Band and Symphony Orchestra and was a awarded a scholarship to study with Robin Chapman (LPO) whilst for preparing for her A-levels.
She then gained a place on the four-year performer’s course at Trinity College of Music, London, with Michael Cox (LSO, BBC Symphony Orchestra) on first study flute, and John Bowler (ROH) on second study piccolo. Victoria has specialised in chamber music playing in a range of trios, quartets, quintets, nonets and dectets. She also regularly plays orchestrally on flute and piccolo and in musicals. She has recently been awarded a Fellowship from Trinity College London and previously held the post of Managing Editor for music publisher Edition Peters.
Victoria is the permanent flautist with the flute, oboe, piano ensemble, Orchard Trio. With them she has performed at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, Southwark Cathedral, The Barbican and Southbank Centre. In addition the Trio were featured in Classical Music Magazine, interviewed and performed live on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour with Jenny Murray and shortlisted for the Daily Express’ Tomorrow’s People Awards. They have also performed at many celebrity weddings.
Function work has included London venues such as The Royal Opera House, The Ritz, The Savoy, The Dorchester and Grosvenor House. Private engagements have seen Victoria perform for Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Alexandra and Prince Bin Fahd of Saudi Arabia. Victoria was also invited to perform at No.10 Downing Street for Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Sadly she was already booked so was unable to join him!
